Look closely at your troubles.  Don’t let them cause you to give up.  Befriend them and learn from them.  Feel them lose their power over you.   Allow them to teach you what you want to know and move on.  Try not to be afraid.

Several years ago I read Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Marcel Marquez.  It is absolutely the most beautiful love story ever written.  The main character waits almost 60 years for the woman he loves to accept his marriage proposal.   Yes, that sounds a little crazy.   But the truth is if you want something badly enough you have to not only be willing to work for it, you have to be willing to wait for it.   And for most of us working is a whole lot easier than waiting.
