Did you see the movie Bucket List that starred Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman?  I didn’t see the movie but I do know that a bucket list is a list of things you want to do before you kick the bucket. 

I have not actually written a list but I do have one that I keep filed away in the back of my mind.  Spending a weekend camping outdoors with my daughters with no cell phones, television, internet or ipods is one thing that I will be able to mark off my list on Monday.   They are all Girl Scouts and love camping.   I have never been camping but I do know I don’t really enjoy spending time in nature. 

But I also know it is good to do things that you don’t necessarily enjoy doing…

Most of us define perfection as “being without flaw.”  However, the original definition of perfect means “to be looked upon as good.”  This means if you choose to live by the original definition, you can stop trying to be perfect because you already are perfect.

Have you ever felt like a squirrel trapped in a cage who is able to see where he wants to go but unable to get there? 

If so, I’ve got good news…

The cage has a door and it is not locked.

Today is a good day to declare your independence from doubt, defeat, disappointment, discouragement, limited beliefs, negative emotions, and fear.

Thomas Edison was one of the most prolific inventors in history, he had over 1000 U.S. patents.  However, he reportedly attempted more than 2000 experiments before he perfected the incandescent light bulb.  When a reporter asked Edison what it felt like to fail 2000 times, he said, “I never failed once.  I invented the light bulb.  It just happened to be a 2000-step process.”

Some people plant in the spring and leave in the summer.  If you’ve signed up for a season, see it through.  You don’t have to stay forever, but at least stay until you see it through.
